Our Wonderful Range of Ring-necks!
The Gorgeous Ringneck Parrot originates from Sir Lanka, their native range now includes the Indian subcontinent, Pakistan, Afghanistan, as well as the Burmese region. They originally lived mainly in semi-desert wooded areas or forested areas, they have now adapted well to farmlands areas.
- Ricknecks are known to be very loving and affectionate pets when Hand raised, as babies, Not only do Ringnecks love to be handled by their owners they also thrive in environments where they are interacted with.
- Their voices are one of the most charming among the Parrot birds. It’s a commonly high-pitched voice that is sure to make you giggle and ensure that they interact with you. These birds were once considered scary in their native lands based on their talking abilities.
Diets & feeding for our Ringnecks;
Our Ringnecks do get feed daily, Scoop of Small Parrots mix seed, assorted Diced Fruits such as;
- Oranges
- Apples
- Grapes
- Kiwi Fruit
- Passion Fruit
- Paw paw
Amazon’s do also get the following vegetables;

- Capsicum
- Beetroot
- Corn Cobs
- Carrots
- Snow Peas

Wild Ringnecks are normally coloured Green, with the exception of the turquoise blue on their tail feathers and the black and rose coloured ring around the neck of males. However, bird breeders have given rise to a number of beautiful coloured mutations within the species.
